Maldives: Constance Halaveli

Located on the North Ari Atoll in Maldives, Constance Halaveli resort is a piece of paradise where people and nature coexist in perfect harmony. Every single detail from the pure white untouched sand to the perfectly harmonised greenery looks surreal perfect – there is no single noise, leaf, dent, stem or smudge to bug the eye. The resort has 57 water villas each with a private infinity pool arranged in the shape of the traditional Maldivian boat, Dhoni. There are 28 beach villas with outside bathroom facilities and private beach access and 1 presidential villa (recently visited by Rafa Nadal). All rooms have an ocean view including the toilet and the bathroom. The ceiling in every building is very high and shaped like the bottom of a Dhoni. There are turtle-shaped foot mats and baskets with umbrellas at every entrance, hammocks under the palm shades and lounge chairs and bum bags prepared with fresh towels.

The restaurants offer cuisine from all over the world with a local twist – an exuberance of sea food and fruits. Two wine cellars offer a wide range of wines given the fact that the head sommelier had tasted over 700 wines during his last 2-week wine trip around Europe! Two bars take care of your thirst while you lay on the beach or stay after midnight under the star-filled sky listening to the subdue sounds of nature.

A whole team of professionals makes sure to prepare you for diving or snorkelling in the world’s top place for exploring marine life and U Spa de Constance is a popular destination after a day spent in the water to relax while you still gaze at the fish facing downwards on your massage table (there is a glass window under the table!).

In one sentence, this is a place where your needs are fulfilled the moment you think of them while you blend in with nature so much that you stop being scared of the vast amount of sharks peacefully strolling near the shore (locals insist they are vegetarians!).
